Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the Whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
How did they know these prophecies meant that they applied to Jesus? Is it because they had heard Him speak the same prophecies? Was it more because their words were written after the the death and resurrection of the Savior?
