Zechariah 9:11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
"by the blood of thy covenant" which is the blood of the Savior are we brought out of the pit with no water.
Matthew 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
The Saviors atonement includes our infirmities and our sicknesses. Even those of the mind and the emotions. Help us to lay at His feet all of our sins, and all of our infirmities and sicknesses, that we may truly feel His peace, joy, love, and contentment.
Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
He came to care for us, not to worry about being cared for.
1 Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Not sure what it means "to be testified in due time" but I appreciate the simple statement that Jesus gave Himself a ransom for all. I feel that this statement includes me and those I care about.
