Question of the day: Why did the sons of Mosiah want to preach to the Lamanites? What should be our attitude about missionary work?
They would tremble at the thought of someone suffering endless torment.
I was also interested in this idea that Mosiah, though political leader, was also a seer. He passed along all of the spiritual instruments maintained by the prophet/seer over to Alma. I'm not sure we hear of Alma acting as a seer. If all of the records were translated then maybe it wasn't necessary. Is part of being in the fullness of times that each of the 15 brethren that lead us have all leadership keys -- prophets, seers, and revelators?
D&C 45: We learn about the value of the gospel message going forward and the preparation for the Second Coming.
