Day 132 Today's reading: Mosiah 28:1-20

Question of the day: Why did the sons of Mosiah want to preach to the Lamanites? What should be our attitude about missionary work?

They would tremble at the thought of someone suffering endless torment.

I was also interested in this idea that Mosiah, though political leader, was also a seer. He passed along all of the spiritual instruments maintained by the prophet/seer over to Alma. I'm not sure we hear of Alma acting as a seer. If all of the records were translated then maybe it wasn't necessary. Is part of being in the fullness of times that each of the 15 brethren that lead us have all leadership keys -- prophets, seers, and revelators?

D&C 45: We learn about the value of the gospel message going forward and the preparation for the Second Coming.

Day 105 Prophet, seer, and revelator Today's reading: 8:1-21

Question of the day: What does it mean to you to sustain President Monson as prophet, seer, and revelator?

Ammon's faith and even his awareness of who his prophet is should build faith for all of us.

D&C: What would it be like to be close enough to a prophet, like Joseph Smith or Mosiah, to receive counsel through them from the Lord?
