Matthew 26:2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
Matthew 26:16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
He was looking for ways to betray the Lord? It was premeditated, planned. And he thought he was doing it in secret.
Mark 14:11 And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sough how he might conveniently betray him.
He worked to hide what the Lord already knew he was doing? It seems so foolish, yet, do I not do the same thing. I do not want the Lord nor anyone else to know the stupid things I do. And the Lord already knows. How does this speak of my faith, my awareness of His reality, His omniscience!
Luke 22:6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
Again somehow we think that anonymity from the world, the multitude, is sufficient or evidence of being anonymous from God. And we never are. I wish to deepen my faith all the way to knowledge and realize that He is already present in EVERY situation. There is no anonymity from Him. And thank goodness for that.
