Ether 3:14 Behold, I am he who was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem my people. Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. In me shall all mankind have life, and that eternally, even they who shall believe on my name; and they shall become my sons and my daughters.
As we believe in Jesus Christ, he becomes our Father. As I pray to my Heavenly Father, am I in a sense praying to both? When I ask for forgiveness of my sins does that request go to Jesus? But when I thank Him for the Plan of Salvation or for agency, does that not go to God the Father, Elohim?
D&C 11:30 But verily, verily, I say unto you that as many as receive me, to them will I give power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on my name.
I am always looking for power from God, and what does it mean to be the sons of God.
D&C 25:1 Hearken unto the voice of the Lord your God, while I speak unto you, Emma Smith, my daughter; for verily I say unto you, all those who receive my gospel are sons and daughters in my kingdom.
I am the son of Jesus Christ by accepting His gospel, which I did through baptism.
