Ahaz is invited to ask a sign of God. He declines. I don't understand if it is wickedness or righteousness that causes him to decline. But the Lord gives him a sign anyway. The sign is that a virgin would conceive. The greatest miracles and signs given by God will always be centered on the Savior.
