2 Nephi 1:20 Commandments and Prospering; Cut Off

Yesterday I mentioned the scale of keeping the commandments and prospering on the one side and not keeping the commandments and being cut off.

When we keep the commandments the Lord causes the us to have success in our work.  In the days where farming was the primary employment for most people they had an 'increase' from the earth. I believe we are still blessed with an increase but in kind, as we are today.

On the other end of the spectrum when we choose to disobey and when we not keep the commandments we will find ourselves losing touch with Heavenly Father.  Our spiritual experiences will decrease and we will cut ourselves off from the Spirit. We create a pavilion over ourselves. How important it is to feel heavens influence in our lives everyday.  How important to be grateful for the myriad of blessings we enjoy.  In nothing doth man offend God, or against none is his wrath kindled, save those who confess not his hand in all things, and obey his commandments.
