Nephi receives further instruction and prophecies explaining how people would pursue the life the great and abominable church would provide. They would destroy the saints for the praise of man. The worst possible peer pressure that man will ever know. And it definitely brings the wrath of God.
The focus then turns to a man of the gentiles who is guided by the Holy Ghost, more specifically he is "wrought" upon by the Holy Ghost. He crosses the great waters that divide Nephi's seed and the gentiles. What a blessing that he could feel of the spirit despite the fact that he didn't have the gift of the Holy Ghost.
