1 Nephi 5:14 "preserve"

Nephi is reviewing what was found as Lehi searched the scriptures.  And of course not only do Nephi and Lehi find their genealogies, but Nephi sees the close association between the story of Joseph and then Moses' and his own.  Nephi knows that his visit to Jerusalem to confront Laban was not unlike Joseph being sold unto Potiphar so as to be available to preserve the people later.

It is so important to trust the Lord and the direction that he leads us and our families.  We can't always know where He will lead us, so how important that we are righteous all the time and including obedient to the promptings He provides, no matter how unusual those promptings are.
