Yesterday we had a World Wide Leadership Training Broadcast in which we heard Elder Scott bear a very fervent testimony of our Savior and Redeemer. I happened to be with Brandon Wernli and Jim Kasen. We had a very interesting conversation about the apostles and their testimonies of the Savior. Why do they not speak of the sacred experiences that they have had, and do they share them with each other? Have they all seen the Savior? Have they all seen Him in the same way? Has He ever presented Himself to them as He did anciently, just after His resurrection, so they could feel the scars?
Perfectly, I am reading today 2 Nephi 11, the chapter in which Nephi tells us that he rejoices in the words of Isaiah because he has seen the Redeemer even as he and his brother Jacob had. How powerful is that. When you start to read the references to the word "saw" in verse 2, you begin to realize how important a role this is that is played by prophets and apostles.
For review as I can:

For review as I can:
- Write out Elder Scott's testimony
- quote some of Nephi's words here
- Find the reference (I think Isaiah 2) for Isaiah seeing the Lord
- Lehi's dream where he sees the Lord
- Nephi's vision where he sees the Iron Rod and the Savior
- Add the words of Joseph Smith from the first vision and comment on Second Comforter
- Find the reference in the scriptures for the Savior showing himself to the 12 after his resurrection.
In the end I don't feel the need to review these scriptures for proof that they really have seen the Savior face to face. I want to study them to understand the frequency with which the Lord visits man on earth. And I wish to have a better understanding of how men testify of the Savior when they have seen Him face to face. The most sincere purpose is to know the Savior better myself; to ever develop a deeper relationship with Him.
