Reconciled - 2 Nephi 10

I might change the name of this blog entry but for now it seems like one of the most important things that Jacob is teaching his people is that regardless of the fact that the family of Lehi was led away from Jerusalem and is now in a land of promise and will one day perish in the flesh because of iniquity, it is very much up to us how we will use our agency on an individual level. Will we reconcile ourselves to God, regardless of anyone else, and find ourselves using agency to do that which is pleasing before our God. Jacob wants them and us and all of his posterity to know that it really doesn't matter which time period or group of people we find ourselves mixed with it will always be our choice as to whether we follow God and live.

A couple of other points that stand out to me are: 1. The gentiles will be numbered with the children of Israel. We are adopted into that line of blessings that came to our Fathers of old, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

This is truly a land of promise, where we live that will not be run by kings. But in our day and age the kings and queens of the gentiles shall be the nursing fathers and mothers to the descendants of the Jews. I"m not sure I fully understand what that means, but it is a special witness that Father will fulfill his covenants in the last days with the Jews and we will be apart of it and see it as a sign before the second coming of the Lord.
