Saved - 2 Nephi 9

Jacob gives one of the most powerful talks on the gift of the life of the Savior, and how His atonement satisfies the demands of justice to those who trust in him and repent. Because of the fall we need to be saved from spiritual and physical death, and the atonement and resurrection of the Savior accomplish that.

There are many things that we should watch out for, we must keep the commandments and Jacob spells those out. He does it in a way that I think would have been more meaningful to his people, as they are to us, in which he does not just read off the 10 commandments.

He counsels us against these sins and describes the happiness and joy of those that trust in the Lord, that follow Him.

There is so much more to this chapter I will try to visit it again during the day.
