Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
Sometimes I read these Old Testament passages and think. There is a general meaning that I sense, but I don't think I can put words to it. This is one of those passages. The words are like those of the Savior, or speaking in first person. And He seems to be explaining that he will overcome death and the grave. We know he does this both physically and spiritually. Praise be to our God for His success in these matters. I'm not sure what it means that repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. Does that mean that He would be perfect and not have need of repentance like the rest of us?
