Matthew 26:2 Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
Betrayed to be crucified. How clearly did the apostles understand that this was what was to happen? All this time Peter, James, and John wanted so much to defend and protect him. And when it was most needed they were still told to stand down.
