John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
What would it have been like for John to see and understand that this was our God in His very presence. Did he take it for granted?
Romans 9:5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
His condescension is mostly the fact that he came to earth to gain a body, and to suffer all that comes with a body. To bring Himself close to us so that we could hear His voice and learn from His teachings if we would listen. I understand that His condescension means many things, of which I know little. I hope through these verses I can come to better understand what it means.
