Jesus Christ --> Authority of - Day 25

 D&C 49:5 Thus saith the Lord; for I am God, and have sent mine Only Begotten Son into the world for the redemption of the world, and have decreed that he that receiveth him shall be saved, and he that receiveth him not shall be damned.

The words of the Father? The Son? or both at once and it doesn't matter?

D&C 76:42 That through him all might be saved whom the Father had put into his power and made by him;

'into his power', the reference to power also suggests His authority?

Abraham 3:27 And the Lord said: Whom shall I send? and one answered like unto the Son of Man: Here am I, send me. And another answered and said: Here am I, send me. And the Lord said: I will send the first.

Did Jesus offer Himself because He had studied it out and new the Father's plan well enough to know what it meant, and what Father truly desired to have happen? Did the 'other' not have as much time to study? Or did he just always have selfish intentions from the beginning. Was he jealous of Jesus position from the beginning?
