Hebrews 5:10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Called of God. We are given authority when we are called to do something. This is a way I hadn't considered that authority is bestowed.
Hebrews 7:24 But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
The priesthood that Jesus holds is His authority.
Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made line unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
Not sure I follow this verse very well. I see that it talks about His immortality but how does that define his authority? Maybe it has more to do with the way He "abideth a priest continually"
