D&C 110:8 Yea, I will appear unto my servants, and speak unto them with mine own voice, if my people will keep my commandments, and do not pollute this holy house.
We have an obligation to keep the holy temples holy.
D&C 130:1 When the Savior shall appear we shall see him as he is. We shall see that he is a man like ourselves.
Will it surprise me to see Him, know that He is my God, and recognize how familiar He is? I hope not, I hope that over time my association with Him will make seeing Him such a peaceful, joyful, grateful moment and such that there is no real surprise, just familiarity.
D&C 138:18 While this vast multitude waited and conversed, rejoicing in the hour of their deliverance from the chains of death, the Son of God appeared, declaring liberty to the captives who had been faithful;
The reference is after the Saviors life but soon after when He could allow the work of the redemption of the dead to begin, missionary work to commence in spirit prison, and proxy work begin.
1 Peter 3:18-19 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19. By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
This moment of opening up the opportunity for salvation for the dead is so significant. Yet the rest of the world seems to know little of it.
