Ether 12:39 And then shall ye know that I have seen Jesus, and that he hath talked with me face to face, and that he told me in plain humility, even as a man telleth another in mine own language concerning these things;
What does it mean to tell someone something in plain humility? Is it more a reference to speaking in person? What it felt like to receive the words?
D&C 6:37 Behold the wounds which pierced my side, and also the prints of the nails in my hands and feet; be faithful, keep my commandments, and ye shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. Amen.
Does this mean that the revelation was received in person. Did Joseph Smith feel the wounds whenever Jesus would give him direct instructions?
D&C 45:52 The shall they know that I am the Lord; for I will say unto them: These wounds are the wounds with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. I am he who was lifted up. I am Jesus that was crucified. I am the Son of God.
I am impressed by the power of the statements, what would it be like to hear these words in person?
