Question of the day: How was missionary work different in Sidom than it was in Ammonihah? Why was it different?
The work was different because the people were willing to humble themselves. I think they were also impressed with the stories of Zeezrom and Amulek, who were themselves unlikely converts.
I certainly was impressed as the chapter concluded, to read of the great sacrifice made by Amulek. He truly gave up all he possessed, and even his family for God, and the work.
D&C 76: We learn more about the degrees of glory and who qualifies for which. At the end of the section are some comments about what Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon saw and understood, but could not write or share. They said that this information could be available to others, those who purify themselves. Very interesting, I would like to know more about this.
