Question of the day: Who will enter into the rest of God?
Part of this is understanding who has an open, broken, or broken open heart to receive God and his word. Those will enter the kingdom. They will be such that they can also receive commandments, covenants, and ordinances. This is how a soul is molded and prepared to meet God in judgement and also to abide His presence in Eternal Life.
I was thinking more about the Priesthood and the discussion about those called to be High Priests. I feel like this meant something very different then than it does now. Especially when Alma explains the prerequisite of faith and righteousness. At the same time I can't help but wonder if I should take some comfort or encouragement at the idea of being called to be an Elder or High Priest based on some faith or righteousness shown in the pre-existence or here in mortal life.
D&C 73, 74, 75: Baptism of children, I think it is so important that we have the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants to show us the will of the Lord and to fully clarify things that are confusing from the Bible which has been translated so much.
