Day 130 Today's reading: Mosiah 27:1-17

Question of the day: "Behold, the Lord hath heard the prayers of his people, and also the prayers of his servant, Alma, who is thy father;" Do you have an experience where your prayers for a friend or family member were answered?

How did Alma the Younger grow up? Was he in the land of Nephi and old enough to understand all that was going on? Did he leave Nephi against his will? Did he remember the evil traditions of his father and his father's peers and long for that wickedness? Maybe Amulon was like an uncle to him.

I just can't help but wonder what his path was like. The Lord reminds him through the angel to think back on their deliverances.

D&C 43: The Law is given for how to judge the people (same think Alma Sr. was looking for). The Lord teaches that they need to understand that he has one prophet who receives law (Alma Sr. was called to be that).  I mention him because these scriptures seem to resonate with each other with some similarities. It has been miraculous to me to read in both books at the same time and receive thoughts that tie the readings together. I love it.
