Question of the day: What does it mean to you to "bear, mourn, comfort, and stand as a witness"?
I read fast today but it was a really good reading. Alma teaches the people and he talks about the essentials of baptism. In this he asks about coming forth in the resurrection.
We love this passage and it means so much to us for our own baptisms. But what really moves me today is that in my D&C reading AGAIN I found a correlation -- The Lord in D&C 29 tells the people about the resurrection. It is a small miracle that is a blessing to me today.
A question from my reading. At what point in Abinadi's preaching did Alma remember how much he loved the gospel and get the courage to defend Abinadi and realize he was going to have to go against everything Noah and Amulon were about? I have to believe that when they were about to take Abinadi and he tells them his message hasn't been delivered yet, that Alma needed to hear more before he would be certain about his convictions.
