Day 104 Today's reading: Mosiah 7:18-33

Question of the day: How are King Laman's cunning ways similar to Satan's tactics?

The people of Zeniff, Noah, and Limhi were brought into bondage because they forgot the commandments of the Lord, became prideful and sinful, and lost the blessings of the Lord. It is indeed the pride cycle. My question is how do we help ourselves to progress out of the pride cycle? Then how do we help our families to not be stuck in the pride cycle, but to enjoy the joy of the saints. And finally, what can we do to help those that are in our communities (members and nonmembers) to not fall victim to the pride cycle.

In my D&C reading, chapters 14 and 15, I found that the Lord taught the Whitmers that what would be of most value to them was sharing the gospel.  I think declaring repentance and sharing the gospel must be key to avoiding the downward spiral of the pride cycle.

I feel challenged in that my family does not have a strong culture of sharing the gospel. In so many ways it doesn't feel like we have time. Maybe that will change as I finish school.  Maybe it takes a more deliberate effort.
