Day 103 Be meek yet bold Today's reading: Mosiah 7:8-17

Question of the day: We are counseled to be meek (3 Ne 12:5) yet be bold (Mosiah 7:12). How do we juggle these two attributes?

Ammon was bold because he approached the king unknowingly. He did not know that he was king or that there would be a problem approaching the king. But then when he learns what his situation is he states that he will go forward in boldness to tell the king clearly of their situation and that he has information they will want.  At the same time Ammon did show forth meekness in that he bowed himself down and showed respect for the king.

D&C 12 & 13: More instruction for Hyrum about being open to the spirit of prophecy and revelation. Also, in section 13 it is just the prayer offered by John the Baptist as he ordained Joseph and Oliver. This verse has been one that I have memorized in the past and really appreciated.
