The cross-reference takes us to Alma 42:24 where we I got this idea. Partaking of the bread of life, or drinking of the water given by the Lord, means receiving of His mercy and atonement. Thus, receiving of these things at no cost means to me that there is no prerequisite and no prejudice either. It is available to all. It is certainly not a gift available to only those with money.
