In this verse we are counseled to be aware of at least three paths that lead us away from receiving God's help and blessings. Being puffed up because of wisdom, learning, and riches. Puffed up in this context seems to mean, prideful, wanting others to see you as big or important.
Some people aquire wealth quickly and easily. How do they keep themselves from being puffed up?
There are those who have multiple educational degrees and let that puff themselves up to think they are better than others.
Wisdom is that path that is most foreign to me. Who is this person who gains wisdom, and sees themself as better than others, or doesn't feel they need God? How did they gain such wisdom?
