Thinking just about Zoram again, I'm reminded by reading the cross-references that Zoram was really blessed of the Lord. He had an abusive master that was removed from his life. The same person who removed him from that servitude became a real friend. He got a wife. Ishmael's family was perfect for Lehi's but there was a daughter older than all the sisters for Laman, Lemuel, Sam and Nephi, that was perfect for Zoram. He got to stay near the scriptures and people he loved in the split. He received a patriarchal blessing from an adopted father. Zoram was truly cared for and blessed and it's an early example of the blessings that come from keeping the commandments of the Lord and being prospered in the land.
