What can I be grateful for when my world is falling apart. counting our blessings only in our moment of trial will not work as well. We can choose to be grateful no matter what. [me] in the past I have asked hte question of how we are to feel the spirit in trial, but the question could have been turned towards how could I return to gratitude which would in turn lead back to the spirit.
Being grateful is an act of faith in God, hoping for a better with out seeing the way there. Our testimony of Christ can help us look past the challenges of life to the hope of the resurrection and life of Christ. A change experienced by the apostles who were in despair at the death of the Savior and restored to joy when he showed them the wounds in his hands and feet.
Gratitude is a catalyst to all christ like attributes

Bishop Stevenson: 98 events 89 countries, 3 medaled in the olympics and were LDS. Addressing the youth. Noel Picus-pace the skeleton travel upwards of 90 miles an hour. 4 60 second races. She prepared diligently to be sucessful. Fought, 4 man bobsled team. He persevered. to get bronze. We have checkpoints in the god-given ordinances.
Be aware of the sins that do easily beset us and keep going. SEt them aside and move forward.
Create a list of family members and the ordinances they need next, how will this lead to FHE lessons and preparations.
Elder Bednar: Truck purchase with AWD testing by getting wood. It was the load that allowed to have traction and to return to his famliy and get home. Our individual load is comprised of demands and opportunities and other aspects of life. Two questions can be helpful, si the load i'm carrying useful for following Christ and avoid getting stuck. Is the load giving sprititual traction to get home to Father. An absence load is assumed to be desireable. We do not want to haul around nice but unnecessary things. Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden - He gives rest. He can give energy to accomplish righteous things. Centrality of covenants to deliverance. Story of Alma the burden was lightened. The Lord strengthened them. [me] weekly connection with Brethren. Serve others. // invited to study the life of Christ and his atonement in relation to the load we carry.

Pres. Monson: Two great commandments. He who loves God loves his brothers also. Story of Arlene, seamstress, received comfort and instruction from Bernice. Life long friends from that point. Bernice shared the gospel with Arlene, this change their direction, countless have recieved the ordinances because of these faithful actions. Those we cross paths with are put in our path to bless with our love. They are the ones we have been given to serve. Flight from Anchorage to city to pick up a boy who needed medical attention his little town couldn't provide. Couldn't make flight to Seattle where the flight was originally destined to go to, so they went to Juneau. No passenger complained. But they raised funds amongst themselves to help with costs. Cheered when pilot later announced that the boy would be okay. This is charity, the pure love of Christ.
Let us be compassionate and encouraging. Compare the words with Zwick. Blame keeps wounds open, only forgiveness heals. forgiveness taught by ...Pres Eyring in Priesthood.
