Restoration v.24: They speak of Joseph Smith who we know as the prophet of the Restoration.
Seed of Joseph, Son of Lehi, Not Destroyed? v.23: The seed or posterity of Joseph seemed to always be counted with the Nephites. The Nephites were destroyed by the end of The Book of Mormon. So does this passage refer to some of Joseph's seed that mixed with the Lamanites? Or does it mean something more like we would be counted as part of their seed in the latter day by the fact that we are adopted into the house of Israel? Which is confusing because we are adopted into the house of Ephraim, not Manasseh, which he should have been from. Maybe I'm totally misunderstanding the phrase.
Another Title for the Book of Mormon v.19: Crying from the Dust.
I wonder how many times this title is used? And is it truly always used only to reference The Book of Mormon? It seems to me the especially when it seems relevant to distinguish the Bible from The Book of Mormon, or the stick of Judah from the stick of Joseph, this phrase of crying from the Dust is used.
What a great title, it truly sat amongst the dust or dirt for hundreds of years, and when it comes back it is the prophets of old crying we were blessed, we had miracles, we believed, and as our posterity we need you! And we need you to believe with the same faith and fervor we had.
Joseph Smith as a Savior v.15: Joseph of Egypt was, like Moses and Joseph Smith,a type of the Savior. Joseph was given power to preserve his family from the drought. This came about after they had turned their backs on him, similar to the Jews turning the backs on the Savior.
