The people and lawyers heard the testimony of Amulek and were surprised when Amulek added his witness. The lawyers make efforts to cross the words of Amulek.
Amulek references the idea that when the majority of the people choose iniquity then are they ready for destruction. There are prayers of righteous that spare the people, but if they were gone they would be destroyed. Amulek tells them that it wouldn't be by floods like in Noah's day, but by famine, pestilence, and bloodshed.
Amulek is accused of speaking against the law. He reminds them that he is speaking in favor of their law against them.
Zeezrom is introduced.
