Zeezrom questions Amulek and does everything he can to try and catch Amulek in his words and to try and make a fool of him, to discredit him in front of others. In this case we see quite clearly what the scriptures mean when they say that he could not be confounded. Amulek is able to answer all of Zeezrom's questions without falling into any of his traps.
As Amulek deftly avoids Zeezrom's traps, he ends up giving a masterful review of what salvation through Christ really means. He explains first that our spiritual life and death is up to us and that Jesus cannot save us IN our sins. We much choose to have faith and repentance.
He also explains that the resurrection comes to all because of the miraculous work of the Savior.
Zeezrom trembles, he realizes he is the fool and he did not win this public debate in front of his clientele.
