Solomon finishes the temple, and moves the ark of the covenant to the Holy of Holies of the temple. He also offers a prayer of dedication. It strikes me that one of the focuses of his prayer adn their belief is that the Temple was truly a house for God to dwell in. And that the people could pray to God as if he were there. You can tell that they were grateful for their temple and it is sad to think that in such a short time they would take it for granted, be a divided people and lose the faith completely.
The Lord truly loves his children and what patience!
