Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
The stem of Jesse is the Davidic descent. and Jesus Christ is the Rod. He is also the Branch. Why did Israel value so much the genealogy?
2 Nephi 21:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots.
The same verse, slightly different punctuation, "Branch" is not capitalized in the Book of Mormon verse.
