Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
How can anyone in the region not know of the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ, but did they all know and understand His resurrection? How hard is it to believe when you are that close to it all?
