Acts 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, who ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Now it hits harder that these are the statements of the Apostles as they go about teaching, proselyting, after Jesus' atonement. So not only did they not get rid of Christ (because he was resurrected and showed Himself to others) but not they disciples of Christ are teaching and spreading His gospel even faster. It does make the Apostasy that much sadder, since the teaching of the Apostles was a like a second chance for them.
