Acts 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
I think we will find many of these verses which list the things made by God. How closely do they align with the order in which the world was created? "like passions" what does that mean?
Mosiah 4:2 And they had viewed themselves in their own carnal state, even less than the dust of the earth. And they all cried aloud with one voice, saying: O have mercy, and apply the atoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be purified; for we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who created heaven and earth, and all things; who shall come down among the children of men.
What does it mean that they cried with a one voice? especially when it was no simple phrase. I like the though that it was part of a hymn that they all knew so that they could sing/speak it in unison. I guess that is the beauty of all hymns, they are prayers spoken in accuracy and in unison. + Separate thought that it may be important to identify Christ as the creator so as to leave no doubt who they rely on for salvation.
