1 Nephi 17:36 Behold, the Lord hath created the earth that it should be inhabited; and he hath created his children that they should possess it.
The Lord made the earth so we could have a place to continue in our journey, our learning and growing process.
Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Why is it new? Is it because it is like the world in which we lived before we came to earth? And 'shall not be remembered' refers to the veil of forgetfulness?
My notes may not be very insightful, but as I thought about this practice of making notes on the references to Jesus Christ I was reminded that each of these verses is part of the testimony or witness of a prophet of God, one who is an eye witness and mouthpiece for God. They want us to develop faith in Christ.
