Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Savior is spelled differently here, is there any particular significance to that?
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
I never really thought of this verse as a verse about the birth of Jesus Christ, more that God came down to fulfill His mission and His purpose in the plan of Salvation. Which I know He did, but I don't think I classified His birth as so significant an aspect of His mission.
