John 3:35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
The authority the Son holds comes because the Father loves the Son.
John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgement unto the Son:
Jesus is both advocate with the Father, as well as Judge as it has all been committed to Him.
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man
He is the Son of the Man of Holiness, and given all power to judge, because He has already suffered for every wrong we have done and experienced all sorrow and suffering we would experience, which holds such influence in the choices we make.
Jude 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
A lot of ungodly things happening in this verse. How many in things in our lives are ungodly, even when we try not to be.
