Jesus Christ --> Authority of - Day 1

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

2 Nephi 19:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

I'm always looking for differences between passages, and there is usually just punctuation differences and capitalization differences. Do these kinds of things make a difference in meaning?

More importantly, I feel like this verse is included because of it's reference to the government being upon His shoulders. To me it felt secular. And He will be the Literal King of the Earth. But He is also our spiritual ruler. And in the millennium will he not be both at once?

Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgement and justice in the earth.

Is His reign yet to happen? Or does it happen even now? Would the latter be more true if more people let Him rule in their hearts and minds?
