Exodus 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
There is a difference between seeing the full glory of Jesus Christ, even before His mortal birth and being visited by Him in a vision.
Numbers 12:8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
In this verse the word is similitude because you can't see Jesus Christ in the fullness of His glory in mortality
Deuteronomy 5:24 And ye said, Behold, the Lord our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
I don't think we realize how closely involved the Son of God has been in the lives of His children here upon the earth.
