John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Why use the word Word to describe Jesus Christ. It just seems more confusing. Does it feel less confusing in another language?
1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
Here it is not just the Word, but the Word of life. Was He the Word before he came to mortality?
There is also the Good Word, or the Good News, which tends to refer to the gospel of Jesus Christ, how is this related?
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Instead of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, we get Father, Word, and Holy Ghost. Is this what constitutes a premortal reference to the Savior?
