2 Nephi 31:21 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.
We use the term "Godhead" to show their unity in purpose, and never to have shown singleness of body. It was a strong impression as I read this verse.
Mosiah 15:4 And they are one God, yea, the very Eternal Father of heaven and of earth.
Jesus is the Creator of heaven and earth, and yet He was the Creator under the direction of His Father. Verses that reference Jesus as the Father become confusing, because it is then hard to differentiate between God the Father, and Jesus Christ the Father.
3 Nephi 11:36 And thus will the Father bear record of me, and the Holy ghost will bear record unto him of the Father and me; for the Father, and I , and the Holy Ghost are one.
They cannot bear record of each other if they were one person, they are not.
