Ether 12:41 And now I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them may be and abide in you forever. amen.
A verse I already love. I am reminded as I write it out that it clearly refers to three distinct individuals but who make up our God. And we are asked to turn our attention to them, seek them.
D&C 76:23 For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father
There are in our day eye witnesses of Father and Son. Joseph Smith was the first eye witness in our dispensation.
D&C 130:22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.
Here again we receive a witness of the nature of God, by a witness of God. Joseph Smith teaches us that they have tangible bodies and that the Holy Ghost does not, and why.
