Day 362 Today's reading: Moroni 8:1-30

Question of the day: What do you think it means that little children are “alive in Christ”? What do we need to do to become alive in Christ?

They may make mistakes but they are automatically forgiven and absolved of sin instantly because of the atonement of Jesus Christ. He it is that makes them whole, constantly. This makes them easy to love, being as pure as they are. Once they are baptized, and I feel this with my own children, then the responsibility comes to practice forgiveness to fully receive love and charity to express to those that can sin and are accountable; who need repentance. I love so fully each of my children, but the love for the older children comes as I seek charity towards them and forgive them of the choices they make that are less desirable. The thought also occurs that much of what they do now may be an extension of what we as parents taught incorrectly or neglected to teach before they were 8 creating certain imperfect patterns. We are not malicious parents, it is just normal human weakness. Jesus was the only one with a perfect parent who could help him establish perfect patterns as he grew from an infant.

I wondered as I read this, what would the Pope respond to this passage.

John 4: Jesus teaches the woman at the well.
