Question of the day: How did the church of God respond to the beliefs of others? How did they respond to persecutions from those of other beliefs?
The saints were good at maintaining humility and caring for the poor. The nonbelievers were focused on anything else but these good attributes. What started with Nehor in priestcrafts really will prove the destruction of so many people. It is a very sad story.
D&C 49: I really like this section, it is about the connection with the Shakers. It talks about marriage, the abundance of the Earth and the fact that we can eat meat. It also talks about the Lamanites blossoming as the rose before the coming of the Lord.
