Question of the day: How has prayer helped ease your daily burdens?
Covenants: The Lord recognizes the covenant that the people of Alma made with Him and promises to deliver them. The blessings begin as they pray in their hearts and the Lord lightens their burdens, and will eventually deliver them.
D&C 39, 40: The Lord reveals to Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon that James Covel had covenanted with Him that he would do all things the Lord asked of him. This was a personal covenants. This interests me, have I ever had personal covenants with the Lord? Did I fulfill them? I can't help but wonder how these kinds of covenants would happen. It seems that they should be directed by the Lord to be efficacious. What does that look or feel like.
The Lord also mentions his covenants with our spiritual fathers that require the people to be gathered.
