Question of the day: What do you think it means to open our ears and hearts to those who are called to teach?
This question also misses the aspect of opening our minds to the mysteries. Here are the notes I made.
1. Open ears to hear: we must listen to and receive the actual words being shared from prophets and apostles. Sometimes shared with us in conference or otherwise.
2. hearts: we must allow ourselves to feel after the moment and what is being shared.
3. open our minds: allow ourselves to ponder up on the words and feelings we have received.
In all of this one of the most important aspects is to not allow ourselves to be distracted, but to be disciplined in our approach to receiving
D&C 4, 5: One quick little thought. In D&C 4 it occurs to me that it is written using the more familiar term, "God". Could this be because the Lord knew it would be memorized and recited by so many?
